Keown expresses admiration for Pochettino’s perseverance at Tottenham
Emery’s future at Arsenal has been called into question after the team showed no significant improvements after a season-and-a-half under the Spaniard. The Gunners have failed to register a win in their past four league games and currently sit sixth on the Premier League table with 17 points from 12 outings.
Meanwhile, Pochettino was sacked by Spurs on Tuesday night and has swiftly been replaced by Jose Mourinho.
Speaking at a Sportsmail event in London, Keown has stated that Arsenal would be stupid not to consider a manager of Pochettino’s calibre as a potential replacement for Emery. He said,
Arsenal will return to action when they face Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday. Meanwhile, Spurs will play their first game under Mourinho against West Ham on the same day.
